01 The short version
MBLEx ("we," "us," or "our") is a study application for candidates preparing for the Massage & Bodywork Licensing Examination. We designed it to respect your privacy completely: MBLEx does not collect, transmit, or store your personal information on any server. Everything you do in the app stays on your device.
No accounts. No tracking. No analytics. No data leaves your phone. We never see your answers, your progress, or anything else.
02 We don't collect your data
MBLEx works entirely offline on your device. We do not operate user accounts, and we do not require an email address or any sign-up to use the app. Specifically, we do not:
- Collect or transmit your quiz answers, scores, streaks, or progress.
- Require or store an account, email, or password.
- Track your activity or use third-party analytics or advertising trackers.
- Sell, rent, or share your personal information with anyone — because we never have it.
03 What stays on your device
All of your study information lives only on your phone, in your device's private on-device storage. This includes:
- Your quiz answers, scores, and progress over time.
- Your streaks, bookmarks, and missed-question pool.
- Your chosen exam date and reminder preferences.
Because this data never leaves your device, deleting the app permanently removes it. We have no copy.
04 Notifications
If you turn on study reminders or the exam countdown, notifications are scheduled locally on your device by the operating system. We do not send push notifications from a server, and scheduling them does not transmit any information to us.
05 Purchases
If you choose to buy an optional premium upgrade, the purchase is handled entirely by the Apple App Store. We never see or store your payment details. Apple's Privacy Policy governs that transaction.
06 Your control
You are always in full control of your data. You can reset your progress at any time in the app's Settings, and you can remove everything permanently by deleting MBLEx from your device. Since nothing is stored on our side, there is nothing for us to delete on your behalf.
07 Children's privacy
MBLEx is intended for adults preparing for professional licensure. Because the app does not collect any personal information from anyone, it does not knowingly collect information from children.
08 Changes to this policy
If we ever change how the app handles data, we will update this policy and the "Last updated" date above. Our commitment is to keep MBLEx a no-data-collection app.
