1.1 Health Data

BPress allows you to track your blood pressure readings, including:

  • Systolic and diastolic blood pressure values
  • Heart rate measurements
  • Date and time of measurements
  • Notes and tags associated with readings

Important: All health data is stored locally on your device. We do not transmit, store, or have access to your health information on our servers.

1.2 HealthKit Integration

With your explicit permission, BPress can:

  • Read blood pressure data from Apple Health
  • Write your BPress readings to Apple Health

This integration is completely optional. You control what data is shared through iOS privacy settings. All HealthKit data remains on your device and is governed by Apple's privacy policies.

1.3 Usage Data

We may collect anonymous, aggregated analytics data to improve the app, including:

  • App crashes and performance metrics
  • Feature usage statistics (which features are used most)
  • Device type and iOS version
  • General location (country/region only, for localization purposes)

This data is anonymized and cannot be used to identify you personally.

2. How We Use Your Information

2.1 Local Data Processing

Your health data is processed entirely on your device to:

  • Display your blood pressure history and trends
  • Generate charts and insights
  • Create export files (PDF, CSV) when requested
  • Send reminder notifications

2.2 App Improvement

Anonymous analytics help us:

  • Identify and fix bugs
  • Understand which features are most valuable
  • Optimize app performance
  • Prioritize new features

3. Data Storage and Security

3.1 Local Storage

All your health data is stored securely on your device using:

  • iOS encryption standards
  • Secure keychain storage for sensitive settings
  • Device-level protection (Face ID, Touch ID, or passcode)

3.2 iCloud Sync (Optional)

If you enable iCloud sync:

  • Your data is encrypted and synced through Apple's iCloud service
  • Data is accessible only on devices signed into your Apple ID
  • We do not have access to your iCloud data
  • Apple's privacy policy governs iCloud storage

3.3 No Server Storage

BPress does not:

  • Store your health data on our servers
  • Transmit your readings over the internet
  • Share your data with third parties
  • Use your data for advertising

4. Data Sharing and Disclosure

4.1 No Third-Party Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal or health information with third parties for marketing purposes.

4.2 User-Initiated Sharing

You can choose to:

  • Export your data as PDF or CSV files
  • Share readings through iOS share sheet
  • Sync with Apple Health (HealthKit)

These actions are entirely under your control.

4.3 Legal Requirements

We may disclose information if required by law, such as:

  • Complying with legal processes or government requests
  • Protecting our rights and safety
  • Preventing fraud or security issues

However, since we don't store your health data, we cannot disclose what we don't have access to.

5. Subscription and Payment Information

5.1 In-App Purchases

BPress offers optional premium features through in-app purchases:

  • All payments are processed by Apple through the App Store
  • We do not have access to your payment information
  • Apple's privacy policy governs payment data
  • Subscriptions are managed through your Apple ID

5.2 Purchase Records

We only receive anonymous transaction receipts from Apple to verify subscription status. These receipts do not contain personally identifiable information.

6. Children's Privacy

BPress is not intended for children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us.

7. Your Rights and Choices

7.1 Access and Control

You have complete control over your data:

  • View all your stored readings within the app
  • Edit or delete individual readings
  • Export all your data for personal records
  • Delete all app data by deleting the app

7.2 HealthKit Permissions

You can manage HealthKit permissions at any time through:

  • iOS Settings > Privacy & Security > Health > BPress
  • Revoke access to specific data types
  • Grant or deny new permissions

7.3 Analytics Opt-Out

You can opt out of anonymous analytics through:

  • iOS Settings > Privacy & Security > Analytics & Improvements
  • Disable "Share iPhone & Watch Analytics"

8. Data Retention

Your health data is retained on your device until you:

  • Manually delete specific readings
  • Delete the entire app and its data
  • Restore your device to factory settings

If you use iCloud sync, data is retained according to your iCloud storage settings.

9. International Users

BPress is available worldwide. All data processing occurs locally on your device, regardless of your location. If you use iCloud sync, your data may be stored in Apple's data centers in accordance with Apple's privacy policy and your region.

10. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be communicated through:

  • In-app notifications
  • App Store update notes
  • This website

The "Last updated" date at the top of this policy indicates when it was last revised. Continued use of BPress after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.

BPress is a tracking and informational tool only. It is not a medical device and should not be used for medical diagnosis or treatment. Always consult with qualified healthcare professionals for medical advice.
